Conducting the UEE/UPEE abroad in 2025 📝
The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine has approved the list of foreign locations where the Unified Entrance Exam (UEE) for admission to master’s and postgraduate programs and the Unified Professional Entrance Exam (UPEE) for admission to master’s programs will be established in 2025. ✅
The Ukrainian Center for Educational Quality Assessment has successfully coordinated with foreign partners the conduct of the entrance UEE and UPEE in European countries. 🤝
Where can you take the UEE/UPEE abroad? 🌐
According to the Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine No. 564 dated 10.04.2025, testing points will be established in 7 European countries and 15 cities: 🏙️
- Latvia: Riga 🇱🇻
- Bulgaria: Sofia 🇧🇬
- Poland: Bydgoszcz, Warsaw, Wroclaw, Gdansk, Katowice, Krakow 🇵🇱
- United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland: London 🇬🇧

NMT-2025 additional session: who is eligible and how to register
The main registration period for the NMT-2025 is over, but there is still an opportunity to take part in an additional testing session. We will tell you who is eligible and what you need to do.
🔍 Who can register for the additional session?
📋 Registration from May 9 to 14 is available for applicants:
- 🏙️ who were unable to register during the main period due to martial law, lack of communication, etc;
- ❌ were denied registration during the main period;
- 🔒 who are in penitentiary institutions.
⚠️ You must submit an application and supporting documents through your personal account on the website of the Ukrainian Center for Educational Quality Assessment. The UCEQA will consider them within 10 working days.
📋 Participants who:
- 🤒 Register but cannot take part in the main session due to illness, death of relatives, or natural disaster.
- 🏆 Participate in official competitions, contests, or Olympiads.
- 🚑 Unable to complete the test due to ill health or anxiety.
📄 In this case, you need to send an application with documents to the UCEQA within three working days after the test date.
📅 Important dates of the additional session:
- 📨 From July 11 – receipt of invitations
- 📝 July 14-25 – holding of the additional session
- 📊 Till July 30 – announcement of results

This is the last opportunity to take the NMT in 2025, so check your personal account regularly and respond to notifications in a timely manner.
PhD-2025: Key dates for the UEE / UET
If you are planning to apply for postgraduate studies in 2025, it is important to know about the new requirements and deadlines for the entrance exams. The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine has approved a clear calendar plan for the organisation and conduct of the Unified Entrance Examinations.
📋 What are the UEE and UET?
The Unified Entrance Test in Research Methodology (UET) 🔍 is a form of entrance examination that assesses the level of readiness of an applicant to obtain the third level of higher education.
Unified Entrance Examination (UEE) 🌐 – includes a test of general academic competence (GKT) and a test in a foreign language (English, German, French or Spanish) of the applicant’s choice.
⏰ Important registration deadlines
Main session:
- 📝 Registration: 02-23 May 2025
- 📨 Receipt of invitation letter: until 12 June
- 📚 Testing: 07-28 July
- 📊 Announcement of results: until 08 August
Additional session:
- 📝 Additional registration period: 16-17 June
- 📨 Receipt of invitation: until 14 August
- 📚 Testing: 18-28 August
- 📊 Announcement of results: until 03 September
📝 Registration process
Registration is carried out by the admissions committees of higher education institutions, but you can contact us for help right now. After registration, applicants will receive exam sheets with login details to the ‘Postgraduate Entrance Exam Participant’s Account’.

Postgraduate Admission 2025: UEE and UET - what's new?
The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine has approved the Procedure for Entrance Examinations for Candidates for the Degrees of Doctor of Philosophy and Doctor of Arts in 2025. This document regulates how the Unified Entrance Exam and the Unified Entrance Test will be conducted for applicants to graduate school.
📋 The main tests
Applicants to the PhD program will take two main tests to be admitted to the tests directly at the university:
- The Unified Entrance Test in Research Methodology (UET) 📚 – assesses the level of readiness of the applicant to obtain the third level of higher education. This is a new test that appeared this year. You need to score at least 100 points.
- Unified Entrance Exam (UEE) 🌍 – includes a test of general academic knowledge and a test in a foreign language of the applicant’s choice (English, German, French or Spanish). You need to score at least 150 points for each component separately. This is the same master’s test that was used last year. Future masters take the same test.
⚠️ Nuances of the admission campaign
- 📅 The tests will be held in two sessions: main and supplementary.
- 🔍 There will also be a specially organized UEE session.
- 📝 Applicants can register at the admissions offices of any educational institution.
- 📊 The results will be evaluated on a scale of 100-200 points.
- ⏱️ The official results will be announced no later than 14 days after the main session and 10 days after for the additional and special sessions.
- 💻 For future postgraduate students, the Account of the Participant of the Postgraduate Entrance Examination will be created on the website of the Ukrainian Center for Educational Quality Assessment.
📚 The test program
The main question that interests everyone is when will the UET program be launched? No later than 12 weeks before the test, as of now, a working group is being formed to compile the tasks.

✅ Admission is not possible without NMT.
✅ Registration for NMT will last until April 3, 2025.
✅ Registration of an electronic account: July 1 – October 20.
✅ Submission of applications: July 19 – August 1 (until 18:00).
✅ You can submit up to 5 applications for the state funded programs and up to 15 applications in total.
✅ Priorities have been set for the application with no grant or state funded support.
✅ You can get a recommendation for the state funded program only once (until August 6).
✅ Fulfillment of the conditions for enrollment in the budget: August 6-9.
